| Our center accepts all species except cats and dogs (native, exotic and domestic species). We hold all necessary state and federal licenses and handle over 11,000 patients each year. (We will transfer primates and large carnivores to other facilities due to licensing and facility restrictions.) We maintain a full service hospital with a full time veterinary staff, and full time animal care staff, plus volunteer base of over 200. We serve Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties. Adoption data: Number and species varies week to week. We do not necessarily advocate the keeping of all "alternative species", and we require home checks for all adoptions. We are primarily a wildlife rehabilitation hospital and we can not treat "owned" animals. |
